Poem The Harvest

Poem The Harvest

The trees are seen
with fruits of green
The harvest is still some time away
...some will not see that glorious day

Nature's usual cycle is in play
The harvest isn't meant for all
...the story of life and death stands tall

The un-harvestable replenishes the earth
for another season of rebirth
The harvested moves on to the tables
hungry mouths are willing and able

The cycle begins like before
...life and death are partners once more
